Surgical Procedures

Prior to any surgical procedure, we perform a physical exam and a pre-anesthesia blood screening on your pet. During the procedure, your pet will receive an anesthetic specifically tailored to his/her needs, intra-operative IV fluid therapy, and constant monitoring by a trained technician. We are committed to providing your pet with quality anaesthetic care by constantly monitoring the heart rate, oxygen level and respiratory rate. Our operating theatre is well-equipped with anesthetic equipment, heart monitors, fluid infusion pump and a circulating heating pad to maintain your pet’s body temperature.

We also offer post-operative monitoring and care at our clinic.

Our surgeries are performed Monday to Friday by appointment only, and as an emergency when needed.

Spaying and Neutering

An ovariohysterectomy (females) or orchidectomy (males) is a procedure of removing the reproductive organs from your pet’s body. This procedure helps in controlling the pet population and reduces unwanted sexual behaviours such as marking territory, roaming and aggression. It also eliminates or decreases the risk of hormone-related diseases such as cancer and infections of sexual organs.

We perform spays on female cats and dogs aged 5 ½ -6 months, and neuters on male cats and dogs at the minimum age of 6 months.

Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Surgery

Along with surgical procedures, we also offer orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries such as:

  • Femoral head and neck osteotomy

  • Lumpectomy

Dental Care

Good oral and dental hygiene is important in maintaining your pet’s health. From regular cleaning and brushing to taking preventative care and abiding to a healthy diet, our veterinarians recommend simple steps such as thorough cleaning of teeth, above and below the gum line, to ensure your pet has a healthy mouth. We perform ultrasonic scale and teeth polishing when necessary under an anesthetic.

Regular dental care will help you and your pet avoid unnecessary pain and discomfort from unhealthy dental conditions.

Multiwave Locked System (MLS) Laser Therapy

MLS laser therapy is a painless treatment for pain and inflammation with the use of light energy in specific combinations of wavelength. This lasts an average of 3 minutes per treatment. Some of the benefits include:

  • Relief from chronic pain such as arthritis

  • Relief from acute pain such as trauma or injury

  • Postoperative pain relief

  • Faster wound healing

We use MLS laser therapy post-operatively to help reduce pain and promote faster healing. If you would like to learn more about our therapies and treatments, consult one of our veterinarians today.
